Making everyday a good day to DIY hard, live and in 360.

Hi, I’m Rachel and thank you for…

“I’m sorry… who?”
Oh, that’s how it’s going to be? Okay. Here’s the story:

Once upon a time, I started an automotive Youtube channel called Gearhead Diva where I did everything from basic repairs to mods and restorations. It was a great outlet to explore storytelling and video production outside my regular ad agency work…

…plus I missed building things with my hands IRL. I was having fun, being myself and always trying out new ways to change up the how-to format to bridge the gap between the screen and the fans. What started as a hobby to document my wrenchventures turned into an active community channel as I shared my many DIY fails and facepalms with projects I had never done before hitting the record button on my camcorder. I may not be able to tell you how to do something but I sure can tell you 100 ways not to do it!

I now spend my time as an automotive tv personality, playing my electric violin, and running Wonder Spawn.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″ css=”.vc_custom_1538452058174{background-image: url(http://wonderspawn.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/schedule-bg.jpg?id=7759) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

What’s Wonder Spawn?

“Yeah, where are all the car vids?!”
My automotive DIY days are far from over but I also want to tackle projects in other areas I enjoy like home, electronics, workshop, science, props, geek …and best of all, you’re coming with me!

“For real? Will it involve traveling in one of your questionable DIY contraptions?”
Pretty darn close. I launched Wonder Spawn to push the boundaries, not just for projects but the stories behind them and finding new ways to bring you directly into the action. For starters, pull up a chair and sit at my table for an immersive 360-degree live stream – with real-time chat for sharing personal stories, lessons learned and practical tips and advice not found on any script. In the future we’ll explore ways of using VR to bring projects and stories to life.

I hope to inspire others to throw fear off Nakatomi Plaza and strive to learn something new, even if it means failing your way to success. After all, every day should be a good day to DIY Hard![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
