Today in 1990, Sue, the most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex specimen ever found was discovered at the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation in South Dakota. Sue is named for the woman who discovered it, Sue Hendrickson, although it is unknown if dinosaur Sue was male or female. In October 1997, Sue was sold at auction for $8.3 million, the largest amount paid for a dinosaur fossil. Today, Sue can be found at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, IL.
