Today in 1922, the historic Hollywood Bowl amphitheater opened in Los Angeles, CA. In its 90+ year history, the stage has seen performances from some of entertainment’s biggest acts, including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Abbott and Costello, Mickey Rooney, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Kanye West, John Williams, Van Halen, and Elton John. It has also been featured in numerous films and TV shows, such as Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, Beaches (1998), Escape From L.A. (1996), and Zombieland (2009).
